A Perfect 10-Star Escape at Saudafell Guesthouse! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Saudafell Guesthouse, and I must say, it was an absolutely perfect experience. In fact, I would have loved nothing more than to extend my stay indefinitely! From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcome. The hospitality here is second to none, and it's evident that the hosts go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. But the real highlight of my stay was the breakfast shared with the host. It was not just a meal; it was an incredible experience that was both delicious and entertaining. The stories and conversation that flowed were delightful, and it felt like spending time with an old friend. Saudafell Guesthouse is situated on a beautiful farm, and being there felt like a true escape. The picturesque surroundings, complete with grazing sheep and the company of lovely border collies, were simply amazing. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the authentic, rural way of life. The hosts are true people of the land, and they graciously open their world to their guests. It's a rare and unforgettable chance to participate in their lifestyle. Was an amazing place! Everything was just perfect! Clean and comfortable! The lady (owner) is amazing person. She well come us with a big smile! A.... She cooks perfect! If you will be there try her food! We are sad that we have to stay only one day! Many thank!

During our trip in Iceland, we stayed in many cottages and this was one of the good ones! The air in the room was fresh and the shared kitchen and bathroom worked great. Everything was also clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was also very helpful and gave us good tips for our next destination.

The stay absolutely exceeded our expectations. We booked a cabin for a one-night stay after our long road trip from the northern region. The staff was exceptionally friendly; she even introduced us to the charming small town and the information about the stores and restaurants that are still open for business during winter. If you prefer cooking, there is a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely greenhouse available for shared use. Some comments mentioned that the room was too small. While it is true, it was more than enough for just sleeping. The beds (and the pillows) were the most comfortable ones we had during our 16-day trip in Iceland. We would absolutely recommend this place to others who are planning to visit the Westfjords and are looking for a convenient stop on the way to the west side. Oh - and the kind staff even remind us to go out to catch the stunning northern light! :D

A beautiful and very modern cabin in a serene setting with almost no one around. Exceptional attention to detail with nothing left to chance. Excellent shower and bathroom. Very spacious, super modern even by hotel standards, with a really comfy bed. Top to bottom glass walls with beautiful views over the bay with seals (telescope included!) - watching them was great! Supermarket less than a 5 minute drive away. Hosts were wonderful. If you are the area and looking for peace and quiet, look no further - very highly recommended!

Quiet. Beautiful location! The cabin was fully set up with a kitchen. The washing machine was great. Had to google the instructions manual. All good.
