It was a bit of a walk to the ropeway station but anything closer would have cost a lot more. The staff was knowledgeable about Daisetsuzan National Park. The nice onsen added to the quality, especially after a long hike. I recommend getting food at a grocery store in Asahikawa before taking the bus here, as their food selection is understandably sparse and there is no nearby grocery store. A quiet comfortable and cozy hostel with a well equipped kitchen. There is no eatery nearby but you can buy your own groceries and cook your food there. The onsen was malfunctioning when I was there but I was given onsen vouchers to another hotel nearby which was really nice. Breakfast (two slices of bread with jam/coffee/tea) was also provided.
