The amenities are great, the staff friendly, polite, and extremely accommodating. The food is outstanding - generous portions, extraordinary variety and really fresh as a lot of it is grown in the hotel garden. The location is a little out of Hiraizumi but it doesn’t matter - there’s a shuttle, and the location is serene and beautiful. Also the onsen is amazing!

Great guesthouse with a spacious Japanese-style bedroom. Everything was spotless, and they have a time-slot system for the shared bathroom so that it's easy to use. The breakfast was also delicious. We only stayed one day, I wished we had stayed at least one more. The staff was very kind and agreed to store our luggage on check-out day so that we could go to Geibikei gorge hassle-free. Geibikei is an easy 15-minute stroll from the guest house.

Both the hosts are very nice and they are really helpful to suggest things to see and to do in Hiraizumi. Wonderful experience in the onsen and at the restaurant. The breakfast was superb. The room is very spacious with TV, wifi, fridge, kettle for tea and coffee. Ask to Mr Suzuki to turn the heater on because it is very cold in winter time. The Minpaku is only 10 minutes on foot from the train station, 3 minutes to Motsuji temple and 20 minutes an foot from Chousun temple. Takkoku no Iwaya is 5 km far away, so you need a bike to reach it.

Everything. The host was very friendly and warm welcome. Large room, classic japanese, and comfortable beds (Tatami plus futon, what more do you need?). Close to sightseeing spots. Excellent chef, breakfast was majestic. I wish could have stayed longer. Feel like family, suitable for those who miss their hometown lol

Mr Suzuki and his family are very warm and friendly. I like the house as it's very nicely decorated and is very clean. I had the best breakfast that Mrs Suzuki prepared. I also like the various snacks that she prepared when I arrived, returned from my day trip and onsen.

I have no words to describe the wonderful experience we had here. We spent 4 nigths at the beggining of June, Hiraizumi is just beautiful and the accommodation was perfection: The immaculate room, the most fantastic breakfast, the care and affection the owners treated us. It was a dream come true. A privilege to stay here. We can’t wait to come back again

The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best we have ever had. It was a wonderful experience to stay with a Japanese family. The hogs even drove us to the local Onsen, and even when we didn‘t understand each other‘s language we were able to communicate.

The best part was the hospitality of Yamada's Family. The house is cosy and traditional japanese style. They have fridge in the room, all facilties, modern bathroom and the breakfast was amazing.
