We had an absolutely perfect stay over the weekend here! It's a lovely, cozy little place with a few tents, great facilities, and lovely staff. The tents were super comfortable with large cozy beds and a space heater for the cold night, and the dinner, including our extra purchases of apple pie and a bottle of wine, were carefully selected and prepared, delicious and good value for money. One of the best little getaways we've had in a while, and we'd love to come back 🙂

Our stay at the Rustic Retreat was truly one of the best experiences I have ever had with any accommodation. 🌟 Our host went above and beyond: he picked us up at the train station, drove us to his favorite restaurant, and had prepared the most beautiful room for us. Excellent services, top-rated cuisine and panoramic sea views are the lasting impressions during our stay in Room 608 from Feb 11 - 12, 2025. Our special thanks goes to the very nice male staff who render his efficient services in table-setting for the many dishes of traditional Japanese cuisines, both for dinner and breakfast. He guided us the unique flavors of each type of food and the best way of eating with various sauces and condiments. He took the initiative to give us pamphlets about the sight-seeing spots nearby. We took his advice and did another hour of touring to learn more about Atami. It was a very hospitable and warming journey we had had with this hotel. Thank you for the very kind services of all the dedicated staff as well.

I think this stay was the best experience in my traveller’s life! From the moment I booked -requesting allergies and other details to the moment we left the hotel. I cannot express enough how attentive the stuff are! They noticed during the dinner our kid was left handed, and breakfast was served on the left side. All I can say is Wow! and thank each and everyone who made this unforgettable memory for our family!

The owners were super friendly and kind. The ryokan was super spacious and clean. Onsen was superb! The owner also offer to drove us to the station making everything very convenient.

A wonderful ryokan in Atami. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast served in the room. Great Onsen. Amazing Japanese style room. Near the train station. The Atami castle, beach and all to see in Atami is nearby by foot. Welcoming staff and dedicated personnel. We loved it.
