Rooms/hallways/property are beautiful with a classic Japanese feel. We felt very welcomed and comfortable. We used the onsen upstairs, it's small but comfortably sat the 3 girls in our family at once. We could have walked to the waterfront but it was a little far and warm that day so we chose to drive our car there and park in one of the lots which was easy.Guest review byMeganFamily with young children

He will always give you recommendations for your next trip wherever you're going. Also the house was new, clean and close to everything to do in Matsushima. The place was exactly as advertised...a traditional Japanese Inn which is what I expected. A large tatami room, slightly dated, but with everything I needed for a comfortable night's stay and great value for money, even adding the taxi fare from the port. Hot water instantly in the in-room tub and very clean. It is ten minutes walk to Matsushima Station, but further from the main tourist activity near Matsushima Kaigan Station.Guest review byDirkSolo traveller
