The meals were high quality, the staff lovely and the rooms comfortable. The outdoor Onsen was by far the best of the baths. The whole place was very peaceful, despite allowing children (note: my children were also on this trip) and I was glad to have found a place that comfortably suited a family.

What seems like a slightly drab motel from the road is a magical paradise inside! Absolutely amazing stay, felt rejuvenated after only a few nights! The food was also incredible- though they really don’t cater for vegetarians so my kid ate a lot of ice cream (and I ate all their sashimi). Top place, will remember it forever!

It was one of the best boutique ryokans we had stayed, located in a beautiful charming shima onsen. Service was personable. There are 3 lovely private onsen baths for guest to use freely. Meals were excellent - exquisite and delicious! There’s free coffee/tea at a little library area. We used the free bicycles provided to cycle to town and beyond which was so much fun. Our only regret - should have booked 2 nights stay at least.
