Kota and his family were super friendly and patient with me trying to speak some Japanese. The place is comfortable with several places to hang out and a small kitchen to cook. And the nature surrounding the guesthouse is beautiful. One day I took the bus to Shirakawa-go. I was staying alone that night so they upgraded me to a private room for no cost. They also offered to drive me to the bus stop, I found it very kind and thoughtful. There is plenty of space in the rooms and common areas. The bathrooms are fantastic. The view from the room is also beautiful. The property manager is the most lovely man. They have a toddler full of life who will make your day bright. The facilities are impeccable. The location is excellent for exploring the area by foot or by car. Central to two of the main UNESCO Heritage Sites, Suganuma and Ainokura villages! The food was healthy and delicious and they used a lot of their own produce.
