firstly, the location was great. Just 5 minutes walk from the station. Then, the hotel is new, just opened less than 6 months ago, so it was a bonus to feel like almost the first guests . The room though not very big yet very efficiently designed to supply all needs. Very nicely decorated, comfortable beds and all necessary amenities in the shower. The onsen, both private and public were amazing. At the front desk we met Virginie who was fantastic, very helpful and ready to give advice on any question. Breakfast was very good, large veriety of food, both western and Japanese, a very good English speaking waiter (at our table) and the sitting area is very beautifuly designed.

The stuff were all amazing, they welcome and shower us with free candy, helped us book dinner in a Great local place and tickets to shirakawa-go, the onsen was great and and the traditional breakfast was different every day and an exeptional experience by itself. The house is really cool and cozy. Its a bit far from the station (20 min by foot), but you do get to see a bit of the local town and you can allways take a bus. If you travel by car its really easy. All in all, amazing stay

Breakfast was an amazing experience, beautifully presented. The girl who went through all the things in the room with us was amazing, friendly and polite. great location, walking distance to everything. Next time we would have our evening meal there because there wasn't much open in the evening for dinner.

Our stay at Live Takayama was one of the most beautiful and heartfelt experiences we’ve ever had. Even weeks before our arrival, Hiromi was in close contact with us, patiently helping us arrange a rental car for our trip – with a level of care and kindness that is truly rare. She personally picked us up from the train station and brought us back at the end of our stay. When she found out we were on our honeymoon, she invited us to an exceptional local dinner – a true highlight we will never forget. But it didn’t stop there: she also surprised us with a cake and touching photos of our son together with her dog, Koko – a deeply moving gesture that brought us to tears. This property was extremely spacious and comfortable. The host was friendly and very accommodating. We could walk to the Old Town, the bus station, the train station, and endless restaurants. This was a great stay for several families to stay together.
