Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The guesthouse was about a four minute walk from the train station, and an eleven minute walk to the supermarket. Hiro, the owner, was super nice and friendly ^^

This is a beautifully preserved old house, yet equipped with modern air conditioning, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. The space is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a garden and a traditional storehouse. It’s not suitable for a rushed one-night stay — ideally, you should spend 2 to 3 days here to truly experience the architecture and lifestyle of the old house. I really enjoyed everything in this stay, the room was perfect, and the bed was super cozy! I had a beautiful view of the small town of Shiroishi, the mountains, and a far view of the Shinkansen passing by every hour so often! I really felt like I was at home in a Miyazaki film, the breeze is splendid, and the quietness is so nice here. It’s a peaceful place to stay, enjoying the weather almost everyday, and when it’s rainy after getting the groceries. A good hot bath is really nice to have, in the mornings I would have a cold bath too, and I ended up cooking more than I thought I would. The hosts are super friendly and nice, very caring and helpful! When I needed to find a nearby clinic or ask about the town’s history on homes they were there! Open arms to everyone, so I’m glad I had a great stay here! I’d recommend stay here for a week, maybe longer if you want too, it’s a great stay!

Although the room is a bit small (as expected of japanese hoptels), it was very convenient to have it so that we could store our luggages underneath the bed to provide extra space in the room itself! I also loved that all the switches for the lights were right next to the bed.
