It was such a lovely place, we would have liked to stay longer. The owners, an elderly couple, were really nice. They were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and more than we could eat. The tatami room and the futons made us feel welcome in Japan.

The host, which I was allowed to call Rio is super nice and welcoming. And as a young traveler he created a very safe and calm atmosphere. The hostel was super comfortable, clean and had everything I needed. Kikuchi is such a nice place with many beautiful spots around the area. I rented a bike from Rio and drove around on my first day, and I was positively overwhelmed by the beauty of the nature! I can recommend to go here!:)

As depicted by the photos, this is a great newly built property in a new residential project slightly out of town. It's a kids-friendly neighbourhood with a nearby small kids' park and playground. Home is clean and nicely done with all the needed appliances and equipment. The tatami room was great addition especially as we were travelling with a 7 month old baby. The host put in the extra effort to make sure we were comfortable and went out of her way to get us additional kids-safe mosquito repellent

The owner who welcomed us was very friendly, and even though he didn't speak English, we managed to communicate. With the help of a translator, he explained everything about the room and gave us some tips and local information. The room was huge and traditionally furnished. Our child was fascinated by all the details. An incredible experience. The bathroom we were assigned was very clean and spacious. It was also great that there was a parking lot where we could leave our car.
