Exuded quality in every way. The accommodation was a new build and finished to an exceptional standard. The beds were the most comfortable of our stay in Sri Lanka, even Netflix and Prime were provided for those who wanted to have a good choice of TV stations. There was plentiful hot water and air con and WiFi functioned perfectly, not always the case in other places where we stayed . In our opinion, the food and service could not be faulted, and Suresh, the owner, was an impeccable host, and provided a very personal service. The accommodation is out of town but easily accessible by a short Tuktuk ride. It suited our needs as we welcomed a chilled stay. Thank you Suresh and your team for everything. Gill and Nick

Very cute small designed hotel! Great location right on the tea plantation with fantastic view from the panoramic windows of the restaurant. Fantastic British design of the hotel - all hotel looks very modern and new. Fireplace in the room. Lovely atmosphere. Very friendly and welcomed stuff. Good and tasty restaurant. Amazing breakfast. We highly recommend it to all people visiting tea plantations near Nuwara Eliya and who is going to experience the train to Ella (railway station Nanuoya is located 10 min by car from the hotel).

This place is a perfect hub for Nanuoya and surrounding area. There is a waterfall close by and you live in the tea fields. You are close to the train and there are multiple viewpoints to look if that interests you. The family is extremely nice and we enjoyed every interaction and tea cup. It is in such a beautiful location. We arrived and watched a kingfisher and various birds from our balcony. The staff are great and such a bonus that they collect you and drop you off at the rail station if you provide your arrival time. There's a 200m walk from the road to the cabins and they carried our bags. We also ate there for dinner and breakfast and the food was really good. We can't fault Grounders. The room was clean and comfortable, warm showers and very peaceful. It gets cold here so bring a hoodie! We loved our pitstop here. The staff are very warm and welcoming with big smiles.
