I enjoyed the delicious rice and curry for dinner. Located in a secluded area, the resort exudes tranquility. As a solo traveler, walking the quiet, unlit path was thrilling, providing a true escape. Wildlife, including friendly geckos, added authenticity, making it feel like a jungle retreat. Nature lovers will appreciate the ambiance. The pool, occasionally visited by critters, offered a refreshing dip. Despite higher food prices due to the location, the meals were well-prepared and satisfying. Overall, Gabaa Resort is ideal for nature enthusiasts seeking a rustic and adventurous getaway.

Was extremely lucky to pick up this place to visit the Sigiriya area. It turned out to be one of the best stays I had ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The place is new (opened one year ago) and is run by a super sweet family. It's just 2 km to Habarana railway station (pleasant walk). The room is fantastic. Beautiful, spacious, with strong AC and hot shower, it has a big patio with the lake view. The facilities on the territory are all well-designed. There is a special dining room, with filtered water supply. The first aid box and other useful things are available as well. Overall everything looks wonderfully organized and thought through. There is a garden house by the lake that you can use for working and dining, with gorgeous sunset view. The lake itself is so beautiful, with hundreds of birds. You can easily spot peacocks, storks, pelicans, and other birds. Wow. The place is away from the road, it's possible to go for a walk around the lake. The surroundings are very peaceful and close to nature. The family was extremely friendly and helpful. You can order delicious homemade food at the property. They gave me a lot of recommendations and were super attentive to my every need. At the property, you can rent a motorbike. Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Ritigala, Dambula, Kandalama, Kaludiya Pokuna all are a short and extremely pleasant ride away though jungles and rice fields. The owners also have a big tuk tuk and can give you a tour by local price. I also booked safari though them and saw around 70 elephants in Hurulu Eco Park (elephants are there in June). Overall, I was extremely happy staying in that place. Will definitely come back. Totally recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy the best that Habarana/Sigiriya can offer.

A truly stunning boutique hotel. The rooms are magnificent, as are the pool and reception areas, and the whole feel and quality is exceptionally well crafted. The staff were also extremely welcoming and efficient.

Everything was perfect. Jeewa and his family took care of us as if we were part of the family too. He arranged everything we needed for a reasonable price. Jeewa also owns his own tuk tuk and will take you wherever you need. I really enjoyed our evening talk about everything. The food was perfect and the room was clean, big and comfortable. The breakfast was rich and tasty. Jeewa and his family are very hospitable people and I highly recommend everyone to stay here, you won't regret it. Thank you very much for everything!

Very friendly owners. You could feel like staying at family's home. They were extremely welcoming & helpful. We stayed in 10 hotels in Sri Lanka & that's the cleanest & best one in our opinion. You can tell there is a European owner as everything was clean, including glass windows etc. Very tasty & fresh food every day. Great pool that you can use anytime. Pieceful surroundings, yet close to local attractions like Danbulla or national parks. Nothing walking distance apart of local houses but that's what you want there. Wish we stayed longer at Wanda's & Leo. Recommending to add their hotel to your travel itinerary & you won't be disappointed. Dziękujemy ❤️

We loved our stay at Visu Villa. The owner was very welcoming and helpful since our arrival, he helped us organize all our excursions and he gave us great recommendations on where to go. We had an issue with the air conditioning in one of our rooms and he fixed it immediately. The breakfast was very good as well.

Beautiful cabin in a nice little town. Owner picked us up from the train and fed us dinners and breakfast that his wife made in their home. They greeted us with fresh mango juice made from mangos on their tree. He took us to pindurangula rock for a sunrise hike and Dambulla caves in his tuk tuk and organised a safari for us.

The hotel is at a perfect location close to Sigiriya and many interesting sights. It has a huge, beautuful, lush garden which made our stay really relaxing. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast freshly made, tasty and abundant. The best experience was the kindness and friendliness of the staff, especially Dulse, who was always polite, attentive and made the extra mile for us. He catered for us breakfast even if we were slightly late, and allowed us to come back for a shower in the afternoon at no exrra cost. I truly recommend this beautiful place, we had an amazing time here.
