Elles was a wonderful, warm and very responsive host. To connect with her and her husband was always so easy and inspiring, Even just entering the terrain en to be welcomed by them as well as all the lovely animals on the farm made all our tiredness from traveling go away. The home to stay really is a delight, and also very inspiring when it comes to thinking of innovative ways to use materials and to treat the environment in a sustainable way. But above all, this has been a home away from home for us. The perfect place to rest after a long journey, amidst the peace of a "stiltegebied" (silence area) with endless fields stretching out as far as they eye can see. Far exceeded our expectations and loved as well how Elles made us a wonderful, delicious and wholesome breakfast even though we requested it only last-minute. Thank you so much for a wonderful time! Fabulous location, room and facilities plus a great breakfast and ideally placed for the waterside and the centre of Spakenburg. The hosts were fantastic and so helpful when we arrived very wet and bedraggled after a cycle ride in torrential rain all day.
