Amberlea Cottages proved to be one of the best and cleanest accommodations we encountered during our road trip in the South Island. The hosts were exceptionally friendly. The kitchen was equipped with basic, good-quality cookware necessary for our stay. If you plan to stop at Hokitika, I highly recommend booking this place.

Our hosts, Butch and his wife were great . They were very helpful Doing the laundry was no problem. Thanks guys Oh yeah, the breakfast was plentiful also gluten free options were available 😀 I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family and friends

A wonderful place to stay where we felt completely at home! The hosts go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay and are always available if you have any questions. The beds are very comfortable, the entire property is very clean and the location is great being right by the sea and main street. We would gladly recommend this place and would come back anytime.     Good room sizes for the family. 2 bedroom for my son and grandchildren and a studio for my husband and me. Brilliant dining table in the bigger unit which allowed for family dinners. Close to town and the beach.

    Spotless clean cabin with 2 sets of bunk beds which suited our family of 4. Kids loved the play area and zip line. Great place to visit the glow worm sells, Hokitika gorge and the national kiwi centre (don’t miss them). We also loved Woodstocks for food- worth the short drive. Local craft beers, live music and great Sunday roast.

    We were warmly welcomed on arrival frendly customer service. Kiwi holiday park has everything you need , very new and clean and tidy and has a fun park for the kids to play right in the middle of the complex. The layout is fantastic. Very family friendly. Highly recommend if your staying in Hokitika This is the best place! Loved our stay here.
