What a wonderful setup. Perfectly located in a beautiful little town. The property was neat, well set up with gorgeous modern finishing. The only regret is just passing through rather than staying longer. Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

brilliant, better than expected, they have thought of everything we could have wanted in a small property. we had a 1 bedroom on the edge with a deck that seemed to get a lot of sunshine, great for evening drinks. we also liked Matakana and the whole area

We had a lovely stay at the Apple Cider Lodge watching the tides moving in and out, eating farmfresh eggs for breakfast, sipping cider as a sundowner and sleeping in heavenly beds. The Lodge provided everything we needed and even more (our 2.5 yo was so happy about the toys). The surrounding offers many great spots to explore as beaches, regional parks, restaurants, shops, weekend markets and many more.

We spent only one night here which was a mistake We had the upper flat and it has a stunning view over the bay. It is very well equipped with all you need in the kitchen, which is also the large living room. Very good beds, nice shower/ bathroom and all the snorkeling etc. equipment available. Also a huge selection of leaflets about the area, a very nice map with all places of interest hand made with pins. We can fully recommend this place

    we were up as a family, and the cottage was superb. Beautiful view, the heat pump kept it warm on a winter's night, and great sunrise. Staff accomodated our late check in and early check out.

    We were completely blown away by this place! We booked it last minute as a child-free treat to ourselves before the kids got back from their grandparents and it did not disappoint. The privacy, the layout of the baches, the bedding, the details (insect repellent!!), the pool (perfect temp and we stayed in way longer than we had planned, in the rain - BLISS!). We cannot wait to return with our kids and friends in future. Anissa is so warm and helpful too - huge thanks to you and your team for making our little escape so perfect!

    Clean and modern facilities. The rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly. We came as a family of 5 and found the rooms to be very spacious. The outdoor area at the back was a great addition so that we could have some privacy outside.

    Really enjoyed our 5 night stay here with our baby and 3yo. The accommodation was like a little house perched atop a vinyard (units 10 and 11 in brilliant locations with views). If you're looking for a relaxing get-away this is the place. There are so so many things you do around Matakana especially if you're into food, wine, art, beaches, walks and hikes. Plus the Saturday market was brilliant - and we bought lots of the foods and goodies on offer.

    The place was perfect for our family of four. My two girls had so much fun in the pool and it was great to walk so easily to restaurants, the market on Saturday and the dairy/corner store for snacks.
