We booked it last minute as a child-free treat to ourselves before the kids got back from their grandparents and it did not disappoint. The privacy, the layout of the baches, the bedding, the details (insect repellent!!), the pool (perfect temp and we stayed in way longer than we had planned, in the rain - BLISS!). We cannot wait to return with our kids and friends in future. We came as a family of 5 and found the rooms to be very spacious. The accommodation was like a little house perched atop a vinyard (units 10 and 11 in brilliant locations with views). If you're looking for a relaxing get-away this is the place. There are so so many things you do around Matakana especially if you're into food, wine, art, beaches, walks and hikes.
