My daughter and I were treated like family while we were there, they even baked a cake for my daughter’s birthday and sang to her! The breakfast was great - especially the avocados - they grow in the garden. The beds are comfy and nothing is any trouble for Danitza and Mauro. It definitely has this authentic feeling you look for in rural hotels in an exotic country like Peru! The restaurant is pretty good and I definitely recommend a Pisco Sour at the cosy salon with a chimney!:). We took a train to Machu Picchu from the Urubamba station which is only 10 minutes away from the Casona de Yukay. We were only 4 people and were treated like kings:).
