Family hotels and homes in Caniçal

The host was very friendly and even got us a cake from his wife's bakery to welcome us. The house was very clean and had all the facilities that were described.

The apartment was good lockated, fully equipment and clean. Our kids slept on fold-out couch. Bed sheet prepared in the wardrobe. For breakfast I recommand to go to Fonte da Palmeira Pastelaria. A few meters from the apartment is also shop. If you travel by car, you will need a car spot and there maight be a tricky because you can only park on the street where everyone try to park.

The host Guido is super friendly and open-minded person. The property is stylish, comfortable, well-equipped, everything we need was there. It’s appropriate accommodation for couples and family with a kid like we are:)

Fantastic place! It’s just 10 min drive from the airport and a quiet little village northeast of the island. Guido is a wonderful host and gave us a very nice welcome when we arrived. The whole place is very comfortable, extremely well equipped with anything you need. A great location for some hiking in the area nearby and to access Funchal too. We loved to stay here and we’ll always consider it again next time we come back! You can’t do anything wrong here and highly recommend to anyone.

We were looked after Like family, Thank you for such a lovely stay, everything was perfect. Delightfully run and wonderful apartment in a fantastic location. Everything is close by, shops and restaurants. Swimming too, although if you drive 5 mins to prainha beach, it's the best on the island. The owners were wonderful, thank you Adriano and Terma x

The location was great. I’d definitely come back and stay here but you need a car. The island is an adventure destination for hikers etc. so it’s a great base to chill at night. Felt very local with cafes etc. looks like it would b a lot fun in summer. I was there in spring and a lot of the area was not open. It’s very windy on the island.

The apartment was large and perfect for a family. Located over a fabulous restaurant serving the freshest seafood for lunch & dinner. It is located in a smaller town which provided a more ‘authentic’ experience than the more touristy capital, Funchal. It felt like I was staying in someone’s home rather than a holiday resort which I enjoyed. It was also only 10 mins to the airport which was very handy. The owner along with his restaurant staff were all incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.
