    The setting and the view are wonderful Extremely easy to reach without a car as the 81 bus from Funchal stops right outside Staff are friendly and mostly helpful Double rooms are a nice size, great shower with good pressure Wifi good in the room Pool area has wonderful views and jacuzzi is nice after a long walk

    The location was romantic. We were walking from Santana via Pico Ruivo to this village and we found that romantic, there were clouds between the mountains, great view from the terrace. About seven minute walk there was a little family restaurant Pintos Clock, great beer and food. And the bus was available. Great communication with owner.

    I really enjoyed my stay in the apartment. It was very comfortable, spacious and offers all the necessary amenities. I had to opportunity to speak to the owner before leaving who was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to couples and small families as an ideal starting point for a hike up the mountains.

    The house is big and spatious, there are two terraces, it has a wonderful view over the valley, and it's in a very calm area. That is all worth driving up there to Curral das Freiras every day (around 25 mins from Funchal). It is also fully equipped, there's probably anything you might need. The owner is very kind and helpful she responds very fast. We would definitely come there again !

    The mountain location cannot be beat. The views are great. The hotel is directly beside the hiking trail down to the village. I was able to reach the hotel by public bus. I was upgraded to a large family room with four beds. The dining room has good chestnut pudding.

    Very comfortable house, with amazing views from both the open and covered terrace. Also no car needed: with hikes, town and natural swimming pools on walking distance. Also one can take the bus (that stops next to the house) to the start of further hiking trails or for daytrips to Funchal.

    amazing place for couples, friends or families :) in the middle of the mountains ⛰ with beautiful landscape around. in front with bus stop (81 number from Funchal) or if needed car parking.
