The flat is spacious and well laid out, nicely decorated. It feels private and not overlooked. Well-stocked with towels etc and lots of products in the bathroom (I suspect left by previous guests, but useful if you forget something and good that these aren’t being wasted). Quiet at night time; sound does travel through the building (e.g. noisy kids) but this was only in the day and we were mostly out. Host was responsive and helpful when I couldn’t figure out how to turn on some lights or lock the window. Check in & out was easy. The pool looked gorgeous, unfortunately we didn’t get time to swim in it! The water pressure and hairdryer were both great (important if you have lots of hair!)

The villa is located in a beautiful setting and we really felt like we could relax and enjoy the facilities. The staff were incredibly personable, warm, welcoming and made sure that we had everything we could possibly need throughout our stay. The breakfast was everything you could ask for and we loved that they went to the effort to make different baked treats every day. It is off the beaten track but it was very easy to book a bolt or an Uber to Cascais, Sintra and Lisbon for a very reasonable price. We loved our stay at Villa Pietra and we will be returning 💛

I have stayed a lot at the hotel during late 90s when I was working in the Lisboa area. When I have ended my working life I have visit the Hotel with my wife during the last 5 years. We have since 5 years apartment in Lagos, Algarve and every time we go up to the Lisboa area we try to stay at the hotel because we like the hotel so much and all that the hotel has to offer. This time we visit Sintra/Cascais and had a short stop on the way home in Lisboa. We always feel that we are welcome back at the hotel.

The location was perfect was not far from Lisbon or Cascais. There are variety of beaches close, by if you go during the spring/summertime. The host Ricardo was very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and would recommend this accommodation.

Chalet Ficalho was absolutely gorgeous, it exceeded every expectation. The garden and the pool were stunning and so relaxing, the owners were delightful to be around and the Chalet in itself is a gem, with wonderfully decorated and restored interiors and very confortable rooms.
