The history in this home was beyond what was expected and the time with the family members just added to that experience. I would definitely recommend tasting/buying their wines, they are quite differrent from mainstream. Hotel is ņiva, spacious rooms, balcony. Good breakfast. We have stayed there before - it's near our daughter's home - so it's convenient for what we needed. I think it would make a good base for anyone visiting the area; it's near enough to Portalegre for you to get your shopping and so forth, and in easy reach of the tourist bits at Marvao.
