Ao Yon is secret jewel on Phuket - there are fewer people on the beach compared to the west coast, the water is always calm and great both for little kids and swimming. You get everything in walking distance, no need to drive outside the area maybe apart from one or two trips to the Old Town. It is quiet and peacefull. The apartment No. 2 was huge, lots of light, I loved the designer sofas and big terrace, beds were super comfy. Someone might find the apartment little bit dangerous for little kids because of the staircase but we managed with two of them and they were great. They basically lived and played on the staircase for over a week without anyone falling (our plan was to forbid them to climb it, but as you know kids)...
