This was the best stay of my trip. The room was clean, big and light with a little balcony. In the evening (for $10) there were superb traditional homemade dinners. These were eaten together with the other guests (who were a great mix of people). But the best part was the host Erkin who is very friendly, speaks good English and goes out of his way to help his guests. He helped me get a SIM card from a nearby shop, gave advice about nearby attractions, acted as an interpreter and explained some things about Tajikistan.

I stayed at this hotel twice (a total of 4 nights), and for my next visit to Dushanbe, I’ll choose Sunrise again without a second of hesitation! The team is absolutely lovely—both the reception staff and the lady who prepares breakfast are incredibly kind and welcoming. When I arrived, they had arranged for a taxi to pick me up at the airport. Later, Asad even accompanied me to buy a SIM card. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The homemade breakfasts are generous and absolutely delicious. The location is perfect—right next to Cyrus the Great Park and the Opera House, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. In short, if you're coming to Dushanbe, I highly recommend Sunrise Apartments. The team will truly make you feel at home. A big thank you to everyone! Note: Sunrise is located in the building just to the left of Hotel Vatan. Upon arrival, you can send a message via WhatsApp to the team so someone can come down to meet you, or ask the reception at Hotel Vatan to notify them.

Hotel Atlas is really nice - from the free airport pick-up to fast and easy check-in and room being ready early it was a great start! Relatively quiet area slightly east of the very centre so we used taxis a bit - the front desk will always call one and explain to the driver where to go - and will also set you up with the best local ride-sharing app. Very good selection at the included breakfast buffet.
