The hosts are extremely hospitable, the rooms are very clean, the wifi is great, and there was an air conditioner in the room. I was told that the hostess designed the interior herself and she did such a great job! If you're biking, make sure to grab food before checking in and consider taking a taxi from the city edge. Location is at the top of a very, very steep hill and quite far from restaurants or food shops. There's a 7-11 on the edge of town that is the last place to get food and there aren't any delivery options on Sunday evenings.

I like almost everything about this hotel. The hotel was designed with the guests' usage in mind. I want to thank the owner and the designer. The room was spacious, the bathroom was well-designed, good water pressure. I like the closet and the space for luggage, too. Good job! Staff members were all extremely friendly, though their English was not very fluent, they were all very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Thank you. The massage shop at the hotel is one of the best and most professional I have had. I highly recommend it, too.

After 4 years of being away, the Lakeshore Metropolis is still one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in--and I've stayed in hotels in over 15 countries around the world. The staff is the highlight of this hotel. They are super friendly and always eager to be of service, especially the front desk employees. I will always stay here in Hsinchu when looking for a place.

A Heartfelt Thank You to THE HO HOTEL 💖 I stayed at THE HO HOTEL in Hsinchu with my mother in June 2025. The hotel was already impressive with its warm hospitality, clean and spacious room, and easy access for wheelchair users. But what truly set them apart was the way they handled a small accident that could have become a big loss. After we checked out and continued our trip, I received an email from the hotel informing me that their housekeeping team had found a Buddha amulet necklace left in our room. It was a very personal and sentimental item that belonged to my mother—and honestly, we hadn’t even realized it was missing yet. Their message came with a clear photo of the necklace, and they kindly asked whether it was ours and how we’d like them to proceed. I was genuinely touched—not only by their honesty and care, but also by the fact that they took the time to contact me so promptly and respectfully. This is more than just good service.
