CanadaGreat location steps from MTR station, exceptionally clean everywhere. They thought of everything to make the guests comfortable. The shared bathroom even had blow dryers and curling irons available - I've never seen that in a hostel before. Wonderful breakfast with a varying menu every day. Helpful English-speaking staff. I'd recommend Star Hostel to anyone coming to Taipei and would 100% stay again if I had the chance.

Hong KongI love everything about this hotel! Location - perfect! 7-eleven is just next to the hotel, you can also find two cosmetic shops nearby. Safe area, you won’t be scared to go out even at late night. Lots of delicious restaurant nearby.
The room itself is very spacious. You can’t get bigger room in Taipei/ Zhong Shan with this price. They provide complimentary snacks, drink and beauty masks. Feels like home! The hotel itself is eco friendly so they encourage you to get water (hot and cold) from the water machine. They also give you a big water bottle to store the water. They are just very very detail oriented and think from customers’ angle.
The highlight of this hotel is definitely their two lovely cats! You can clean your hands and play with them in the cat room. SO CUTE!
