Great balance of private and shared spaces - all of which were very comfortable and had great character; eco friendly approach to running the hostel compounded combined with great food made the stay unique; extremely friendly and helpful staff. It's worth noting that this property is not within walking distance of Arusha centre, but if you're looking for a bit of quiet and local life, it couldn't be more perfect.

George and his staff are so helpful. He would ensure that our stay were good. The food served were also tasty and in a very large portion, so if you are not a big eater, kindly inform him in advanced to avoid wasting of food. Love having dinner there, chit chatting with George and other travellers (Matthew and Eric). George helped to arrange few trips as well; Lake Duluti ($30/pax), Ngorongoro Day Trip ($220/pax - shared) and Napuru Waterfall ($60 + $10 entrance + $10 guide - I'm going alone with Bryan). Everything was so good and lovely. Owh ya, and they have cute cat as well. Thanks guys.

It was absolutely fantastic. Cecile is the owner, and she's truly fantastic. She's from the Netherlands, so we could speak Dutch with her. But apart from that, she's someone who's very passionate about running her B&B. We felt right at home the moment we arrived. I was traveling with my 9-year-old son, and he didn't want to leave or stay much longer. We were unprepared, and she arranged a fantastic safari for us last minute. We'll definitely be back! My friends and I loved Mina Chai House and it was the highlight of our time in Arusha-- we even booked a second stay after our safari! The location is secure, the rooms/beds are super comfortable, and everything is spotless. Seriously, whoever cleans this house should get a raise. Zena, the manager, is a very warm person and made our stay feel like we were at home. We also had dinner at the property made by Asha and it was delicious (and they make it spicy if you ask, unlike a lot of places for tourists!). Stay here if you can! Even my friends who are used to luxury hotels said this place was lovely and wanted to come back a second time.

The property is very nice with a beautiful tropical garden. Our room was large with all facilities, the bed was also large in particular the cover bed highly appreciated when the nights are chilly. The bed sheets and the towels were of an immaculate white colour. Everything was really clean. The breakfast was very fresh, tasty and complete. We also loved the dinner, which was cooked and prepared like at home. A highlight of this hotel is also the staff. Everybody was very friendly and we appreciated how much the owner listens to his staff suggestions. The owner who also speaks French, organized a city tour for us, we were very grateful for this as we could visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, the Shanga Workshop, the Natural History museum and a local market with a private way.

My wife and I stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon. This was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. So modern and clean, with beautiful food and great facilities. The staff were all so nice and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
