It was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. Staff were very friendly and helped us book onwards bus tickets, taxis etc. Very good service and sweet people! Excellent value for money.

Very comfortable room; good shower; excellent linens; superb view from private deck. Breakfast was good, as was the restaurant. Vietnam hotel staff is always helpful, but the staff at Nui Sam was ESPECIALLY helpful!

The hotel is well-located in Chau Doc, near a major road in the city where you can find everything you need and just a 10-minute taxi/scooter ride from the Futa bus station. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's not a 5-star hotel, but it's definitely good value for money. More than anything, the host is really helpful and nice. We would like to extend a big thank you to her; she did everything she could to make our stay in Chau Doc easier during our 3-day visit, even though we only stayed one night at her hotel (arranging mini-bus transfers, scooter rentals, luggage storage). She also provided a lot of recommendations for our visit to Chau Doc area.

We were upgraded on arrival to a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony. We were concerned as we faced the karaoke venue and could hear loud music. In fact the music was not from the karaoke and finished by 10/10.30. Breakfast was good. What really made an impact was the reception staff. One in particular was excellent. He booked a taxi for us to go to Sam Mountain. He suggested a trip to Tra Su bird sanctuary forest and arranged a taxi. He also booked the bus tickets for our onward journey.

This was a unique experience, the host family is so lovely and emphatic. The communication before our arrival via WhatsApp was very smooth. As we could not get cash at the arrival day, our host even payed the taxi driver which is IMHO really outstanding. Points we really enjoyed: we easily got a motorbike to rent for a day for 150K Dong. The host organised a day trip for us on very short notice (10pm!). And the food! It was absolutely delicious, I strongly recommend to book breakfast and dinner. We helped a bit cooking but main work was done by the family, thanks again for the lovely stay and the warm hosting. Ah, one more thing as there were a few negative comments about English skills: IMHO this is nonsense, why booking a homestay and then expecting to easy go with English? Learn Vietnamese is also an appropriate option.
