We were there during Tet, and had the place to ourselves until the last day, when many Vietnamese families arrived to celebrate Tet together. The staff were amazing, ensuring we had everything we needed, and one staff member even gave us a special Bánh Tét (glutinous rice cake with pork belly and mung beans filling, cooked in banana leaf for 24 hours) that his wife had made. The food was lovely, and during our 4-day stay, we were able to sample many of the dishes available. We were in one of the farm cabins, which was roomy, with the most comfortable bed. I had the best nights’ sleeps I had experienced for a long time. The most wonderful thing was the smiles we received every time we came in contact with any of the staff. With many hugs as we checked out, we really did feel as though we arrived as guests and left as family.

The host Huy is amazing. He made every effort to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Huy gave us the most authentic feel of the local cuisine, serving us breakfast and dinner prepared for his own family - very tasty. The facilities are rustic as this is a new homestay and still being developed, but for the price it's fantastic. The location is out of town in a quiet area with great views of the mountains and rice paddies. The room and bedding were crisp and clean, aircon and wifi worked perfectly.

Quiet, tranquil location. 2km+ from town. Gem and her husband run a fantastic homestay. They are the kindest most genuine people we’ve met in our 2.5 months travelling south east Asia. They offered complimentary bikes for our use during staff. Collected us from our bus. Offered to drive us in and out of town as it was raining. Great local knowledge: offered to book transfers onwards. Brought us to Paradise caves as it was raining and we didn’t want to take scooters. Breakfast was provided and freshly made each morning. We ordered food to the homestay from their restaurant in town, Lantern. We ate at their restaurant in town on two nights also. Best around! Great variety of western and Vietnamese options on menu and happy hour 2-for-1 drinks Absolutely delicious and so fresh. Very reasonably priced food and stay for the highest quality.

Tu Tu was a wonderful and so knowledgeable host. She picked us up from the bus station, lovely breakfast and bicycles where included and the family dinner we joined was delicious. Room was huge and very clean, with coffee and water included. A great stay!
