This is an exceptionally well run property. From superb 'out of africa' style tents with all mod cons to private plunge pools, this offering excels in every way. Days begin at 5am with game drives. There is an abundance of upland and lowland game where 4 of the Big 5 are on 18k hectares of natural habitat. The search for the elusive Leopards is a daily pursuit and highlight. The guides are knowledgeable and patient to guest requests. The food is of the highest quality. We will return.

We stayed at 14 places over 4 weeks on our trip to South Africa. This was my favourite and probably the only place I would go out of my way to stay at again. The buildings and grounds surprised me because they are even more stunning than the photos. The value is unmatched. We stayed at places that were 3x the cost of Dawson’s and not even half as nice. Most notably, the staff are incredible. Most high-end places will have super nice and polite staff. What struck us about Dawson’s was that the kindness and service was sincere and genuine. The staff care about their work and take pride in making your stay memorable. Our dinner was outstanding and the wine list was exceptionally well put together. I wish I could have stayed a week.

The roads are very bad but the place is so refreshing
