We spent our days sitting on the river banks around the fire and canoeing in the river. It was a true scout-like adventure with the added comfort of warm showers and kitchen facilities. From the start we knew exactly what to expect because the owner phoned to make us feel super welcome. We booked two cottages as a family get-away. The hot tubs were managed by staff so that we can just jump in when when it was warm. House keeping was available daily. We could also play tennis,go fishing, canoeing, play boules and explore the farm. We didn't do a wine tasting,but that can be arranged. We loved the indoor fire place in the cold winter nights. Very elegant and good quality furniture - not discards from the family home and certainly not "previously loved" furniture nor linen. Easy to find and very good location for all the historic landmarks surrounding the area. The cottage is so well equipped and beautifully furnished and decorated. Stunning extras like freshly baked bread and farm butter, rusks, coffee, etc. just made our stay even more amazing!
