We absolutely LOVED the Farm Stay - the family running the farm have so much attention to detail - the house was SPOTLESS clean while being super homey and comfy at the same time. Loved the sherpa doggos taking us to the waterfalls near by which was the most stunning thing I've seen in my life. Then we went to the little dam and raced on the kayaks! We also had a little pool right by the house as well, to relax after a day full of wholesomness! This place is just the best, I could live there! Thank you Alpha Excelsior :)

Stunning location in the Cederberg. We stayed in Waboomhoek which was close to the river, perfect for swimming and wildlife watching. We enjoyed the half day hike, food in the restaurant was tasty and filling (and lots of good wine!) and we explored the nearby self guided hikes. Highly recommend braaiing and firing up the hot tub, both required some effort as we hadn't done either before but excellent fun!

The Host James and Cara went above and beyond to accommodate us, we had an amazing time as a family. From the Hiking trails to the wine tasting was fantastic, the food at the restaurant was off high quality and service in general was just outstanding. We loved every minute of our stay.

The cottage and the farm are in a very interesting bouldering area. The cliffs and rocks are idea for wandering and exploring. There is a nearby trail to a fairly impressive waterfall considering the season we visited (January). There are also trails to rock art close by. An added bonus is the presence of a winery (Rugged Rocks) on the property. They have fairly good red wines and very affordable prices.
