There are no fences arround so the animals can come to your patio. The family which runs the camp is very friendly. He made our stay fun and so memorable. We also got to see all the animals we wanted to. The meals were always delicious and we were more than full. The game drives were simply perfect and the guide was extremely attentive, competent and funny. Our absolute highlight was meeting Wolfgang (the hyena). On the first afternoon game drive (4 until 7pm) we had lions on the street in front of us and when we arrived at the camp there was an elephant family drinking from the water pit in the camp. Our driver Elvis was very motivated to look for the animals and also drive off-road into the bush although his English was not always understandable. The meals were excellent, drinks were available in the community fridge constantly. Sure it is a tented camp, but that added to the allure of staying at Buffelshoek.
