The highlight was the tranquillity and nature of the accommodation. It is also very beautiful, stylish and cozy. We immediately felt at home. Ingrid is a brilliant hostess and gives good advice. She is very friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner are delicious. Even though the access road to the lodge is a bit long, you can easily reach activities such as Addo and Schotia Safari.

The location is absolutely stunning. It felt like paradise. Beautifully furnished, too. Edwin gave us such a warm welcome and already on the drive to the camp we passed Rhinos, Zebras, Girafs and other animals.

The setting and the facilities were excellent. We used the Spa which perfectly complemented the Lodge. The rooms were spotlessly clean as were the rest of the facilities.

The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The food is superb and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. They went through the trouble of making a separate meal for my partner to accommodate his food allergies. They also went to the trouble of setting up a screen and provided us with snacks to watch the rugby. We also got to see 4 of the Big 5 in one evening!

Long Lee Manor is situated within the malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve, home to the Big 5. The Edwardian-styled manor boasts manicured gardens and overlooks the African plains.

We were a bit concerned about the amount of food prepared for the number of visitors. it was not necessary to place so many dishes on the table. better for the guests to order only what they could eat from the menu

Everything about this accommodation feels luxurious from the minute you arrive. We stayed in one of the tents which was really nice with all the facilities you’d expect in a normal room. The road noise from the highway is notable but didn’t affect our stay. Also we had a lot of ants in the tent but guess this is to be expected given the location, again this didn’t affect our enjoyment. The evening merl was Ok but not great however the breakfast was amazing. The highlights were the game drive and the giraffe walk which were simply incredible. We’d definitely return but possibly choose a room rather than the tent.
