It is at walking distance from the train station, the Old City and numerous restaurants. We felt the Italian vibe immediately. It is decorated very tastefully and Andrea & Roberta were charming. They gave us a lot of tips so we could appreciate Trieste as locals and not tourists. Love this place and will come again!

Appreciated the washer and drying rack. Impressed that staff bothered to decorate for Easter. Though I am always leery about arriving outside of office hours, we had a very smooth arrival - very clear instructions. Staff were always friendly and ready to assist. Aldi store just across the street and short walk to canal, shopping, waterfront, bus and train stations.

Rooms at Hotel Alla Dolina overlook the Mediterranean Sea, the garden or the nearby wood. Each includes a private bathroom complete with hairdryer. We liked everything at this hotel. The staff was polite and kind, explaining us nicely everything we needed to know. The breakfast was very good and rich, had everything that you needed, even options for gluten free menu and even the coffee was good. The location is excelent, has a free private parking and bus station right in front of the hotel. Very good if you want to relax and just take the bus to Trieste or Miramare castel. The room is basic, but clean, with a good bed, a good air conditioner and a perfect window sound isolation. I would come back here definitely.
