I forgot to say that I was allergic to shellfish and both the receptionist and cook were worried when noticing and asked what I would be able to eat! I unfortunately didn't manage to eat much since I had some slight stomach issues but I really loved everything I tried! Also many thanks to both for making me feel comfortable by helping me and even one of them bringing me to the corner. I hope next time I can improve my Korean to speak fluently with both of you! Also definitely leave an entry in the guestbook!

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Yaja, the room was very clean and spacious, the bed was very comfy, the TV had a really big screen, and the city view from the window was also not bad. There was complimentary breakfast every morning which was nice, though it was a little too simple. But the breakfast area is open to guests 24 hours which was very convenient. The location was also excellent, just a short walk to Pyeonghwa Peace Plaza and the waterfront.

The house was in an amazingly good shape with their traditional architectural style intact! While the bathrooms were not attached to the bedrooms because the house could not be remodeled to change the existing structure (as it is designated as a Protected Traditional House), each bedroom had an assigned private bathroom with a good shower and fancy amenities. This probably is the closest you can get living like a Josun Dynasty aristocrat in the modern day Korea. The owner lady was very helpful in providing tips for restaurants and things to do and see and very attentive to our comfort. While it is conveniently located (if you have a rental car) to explore the whole South Western provinces of Korea (UNESCO World Heritage Site tidal flats!), I thought that just staying in the house perched on the wooden floor looking out beautiful trees and drying persimmons with a book in hand itself was a huge treat. I would definitely stay here again!
