The decor was lovely We didn’t want our stay to end and really appreciated the staff seeing us off. We would love to stay here anytime we visit galle.

We chose the King room, and I have to say, it was amazing. First of all, the shower. We picked it especially for a photoshoot, and it was exactly as good as we'd hoped. Additionally, the whole place was made to look like a jungle, so it felt as though we were sleeping in the only building in some wilderness.

Franzi was incredible and added a personal touch to your stay and always had a smile on her face. I have stayed in many hotels over my years of traveling and this hotel is simply THE BEST!

The breakfasts were varied. The place is quiet, and we had no disturbances at night. The shower room with an open roof was a unique experience. We highly recommend this place for its comfort and peaceful atmosphere!

I had a fantastic 7-day stay at Villa Rumassala—and I loved it so much that I extended my visit by another 10 days. I was based there while completing a medical elective at a nearby hospital, and the villa offered the perfect balance of comfort and tranquillity. Tucked away from the main road, it felt like a peaceful retreat, complete with a serene pool and fresh towels provided daily. The Villas are located about 15 min walk from the main Unawatuna beach and shopping/food area or a short tuktuk ride to Jungle beach (unless you're ok with walking up some steep hills!). The rooms were spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and featured modern, spotless bathrooms. I particularly appreciated the communal kitchen area, which included a kettle and a washing machine—small touches that made a big difference during a longer stay. There was 24/7 security, making me feel safe throughout my stay. There was also a small gym that was open 24/7, however it did not have aircon which might put people off using in the Sri Lankan heat! What truly made my time unforgettable was the staff. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, always making sure I had everything I needed. I was even invited to join in the Sinhala New Year celebrations—a beautiful and memorable experience. A special thank you to Sasini, whose kindness and attention to detail ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay.

The hotel has a children's playground and pool views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. This might just be my favourite resort on the south coast of Sri Lanka. It was great value for money, the rooms were spacious and very clean. I slept amazingly during my stay as the bed was very comfortable. The manager and staff were friendly and very helpful with giving me recommendations and booking me tuktuks into town. I work online so the plus was the hotel had fast internet and good coffee. I’ll definitely be back at Terra.
