This father and son pair was the most supportive, caring, and calm couple of guys you could possible meet. Abdel got us situated on our first day, and even allowed us into our room to unload our things while we set out to an ATM to get more cash. He recommended a fantastic lunch spot for us just a quick walk away - Bab Ssour - which was one of our top eating experiences our entire trip. The room we stayed in was immaculate, absolutely gorgeous, and so sooo cozy. We travelled in late October, and with no heating it was a little chilly. However, there are plenty of excellent thick additional blankets in the wonderful included closet. Truly a dream, this Riad is located IN the medina itself. My husband went to Chefchaouen wanting a djellaba, for the chilly nights and hike up to the Spanish mosque, and literally outside of the Riad we found an incredible Souk selling them for a great price. Unfortunately we had to leave early on our last day, to drive out to Ouzoud falls, so we missed the breakfast. However, once Ahmed found out about this, he quickly whipped us up some incredible coffee and mint tea and insisted we did not leave without some food, or at least coffee/tea, in our bellies. Would HIGHLY recommend Riad Dadicilef!

El Kharrazine, Chefchaouene
Located 400 metres from Kasba, Riad abi khancha offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The property features mountain and city views, and is 400 metres from Mohammed 5 Square. The riad has family rooms. This was our first stop on a multi-city tour of medinas in Morocco in advance of our daughter's wedding in Marrakesh. We had little idea of what to expect. Our visit was exceptional. Mohamed met us at the entry to the medina and handled our luggage all the way up to our room. We were then offered Moroccan tea and sweets on the rooftop where we first saw the panorama of the Blue City. He, and the entire staff, were warm and welcoming. He gave us great recommendations for places to see and where to eat. All of his suggestions were perfect. Breakfasts were magnificent and coupled with views that provided us with a lifetime of memories. Our walk to the Spanish mosque on our final morning there provided views that will be forever etched in our minds. We had one plumbing issue that was corrected immediately. Staying there was the perfect spot to making us comfortable in Morocco and lessened any anxiety we might have had in staying at unknown to us riads. Last thing, our room had a view of the local school. That might not seem ideal to many people, but for us it was nice to hear the excited voices of young people during the day and particularly when they had phys ed or recess. If we ever return to Chefchaouen, we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Rachid is just the most amazing person ever. It felt like staying at a friend's place. He has created a piece of heaven where you reconnect with nature and with yourself. It's a great place to come with kids. they have tons of things to discover and animals to play with. And Rachid is very good with children. They really loved him from the start. Food was also amazing!
Great family run business. Fun and easy going. Breakfast was excellent.
The staff are absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, even when we asked for a bit too much mint tea. We were nervous about our first trip as a family with our 8 month old baby but our time in chefchaouen was heaven due to the hospitality of Dar Elrio. Yessin and his colleagues were all very accommodating, kind and made us feel at home. Breakfast was so healthy and delicious as well, and they kindly agreed to clean my baby’s food pots too.
Beyond the views, I liked very little indeed. The staff are friendly enough but have a very difficult time defending the poor quality of the hotel. They seemed well rehearsed - if not tired - of having to apologise for the state of the place. They are not empowered to resolve problems properly. Nor would they be able to cover for the fact this ‘Spa Hotel’ is a building site and not ready for customers seeking a safe or relaxing stay with children that includes use of a functioning pool or spa or indeed satisfactory hygiene levels.
very nice and clean family hotel, stunning view over the city , quiet, very nice host, delicious dinner and breakfast
If you are travelling with a family especially with a baby and have a pram, this is not the hotel for you. The taxi will leave you quite far, walking to the hotel and carrying you luggage is the only option. The hotel has no lift and no help from the staff to take your luggage; I found it very difficulty to take everything on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was OK.
