We also appreciated the high level of hospitality: although we were there during Ramadan and although the tastes and interests of our group of five vary a lot, Dar Khedija pleased everyone. Breakfast was plentiful and included a wide range of foodstuffs. Dinner was provided each evening at our request, and we could order a wide range of dishes. For us the location of Dar Khedija was important. We were able to visit --without stress -- Dougga, Bulla Regia, the Chemdou museum and El Kef . If our stay had been longer, we would also have visited Tabarka. We reached Dar Khedija without any difficulty, but visitors should be aware that a GPS may be essential.

The location is on a small road in the forest, so it’s not nearby anything but it would be perfect if you love to be isolated and have some alone time, still there are nearby houses, so it doesn’t feel fearsome. However, the owner was so helpful and very communicative. He got us a car to pick us up and drop us off, and also if you need to go to town, he offered to get us a car. He was flexible and helpful. Really enjoyed it! I would recommend getting your own food and water. Other than that you won’t need anything else, just enjoy the chilling atmosphere.
