Sunshine B&B is about a 2-minute walk from Jiu Fen Old Street and an 11-minute walk from Jioufen Gold Mine Museum. Ruifang Railway Station is 11 minutes' drive away. The location couldn't have been better. I travelled with my elderly parents and wanted to be close to the old street without having to climb too many stairs. The owners were nice enough to give us the only room on the main floor. The room was spacious and the view was spectacular. The room and public areas were so clean and well maintained. The breakfast was also stellar and highlighted the essence of Taiwanese cuisine. From the decor to the quality of furniture and customer service, we could tell the owners put a lot of thought into running the b&b.

Beautiful views, from the room and especially the breakfast area on the third floor. kind and helpful staff, sparkling clean rooms, a little light on sound insulation but other guests were quiet so this wasn't a problem (and we expected it based on the building's location, age, and charm)

Good base for Beito district if you want to avoid the pricey hotels, was using the metro alot which requires lots of walking but don't mind doing so.

A recently renovated homestay in Tamsui and within 300 metres of MRT Tamsui Station, Lai Jie Accommodation新北市民宿411號 has a shared lounge, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. With city views, this accommodation provides a balcony. This 5-star homestay offers private entrance. Very new (only 3 months old!) so everything was in good shape. Free coffee and tea, and a small basket of snacks/instant noodles you’re welcome to take from. The owner is kind and even brought us breakfast an hour before we were set to leave, etc.

The host was very helpful, the accomodation was unique, clean and well equiped. The breakfast was delicious. The location is superb!
