An authentic log cabin look from the outside yet inside modern, spotless and extremely well equipped. The kitchen is excellent and there are nice touches like free Netflix and board games. There is a terrace too and ample car parking space. We were met by Greg an extremely helpful host who showed us around. This is an ideal place to stay when visiting Talkeetna.

Free private parking is available and the holiday home also features car hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. The host was responsive in answering our requests, going above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable. The cabin (bear) was clean, beds were comfortable, plentiful of different teas and coffee for selection.

Featuring stunning views of Mt. Denali, Backwoods Lodge is located in Cantwell in a quiet, forested area. Denali National Park is 43 km away. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and parking outside of rooms is offered as well. Very friendly host, very clean lodge, perfect peaceful nights sleep, everything that we needed. The lodge was warm and welcoming, plenty of towels and bedding was comfortable. Well worth the money and will definitely be back!
