We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely exceptional. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful little touches, everything made us feel truly special. The location itself was stunning so calm and peaceful, the perfect place to recharge. One of the highlights was the incredible wine tasting experience, which was truly memorable. The breakfast was also excellent, with great quality and variety. Overall, it was the perfect stay for such a special occasion.

Lovely location, with the mountains in the background, among the vineyards and close to Franschoek center. Very clean and nice rooms, with everything you need in it (including interesting books!). Lovely hosts.

All units come with a patio with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a toaster, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. All units have a fireplace. At the farm stay, each unit is fitted with bed linen and towels. This beautifully designed and cosily furnished cottage is an absolute gem! You can enjoy the amazing view into nature from inside through the big windows, from the big porch or - and this was our big highlight - from the fire-heated hot tub. At night you can watch the stars sitting in the hot tub with nothing but nature around. It is simply beautiful and a great place to calm down, relax and enjoy the quiet away from all street noise. Since it is entirely off the grid, it is not affected by loadshedding. We’d highly recommend taking a factory tour in the olive oil factory with Allison while there. Both Allison and Francis are very welcoming, friendly and caring hosts. If we ever make it back to South Africa, the trip up to the farm with this special cottage will be a must on the itenerary!

Leopards Leap Family Vineyards is a 2-minute walk from Heuwelsig Farm Cottages, while the Leeu Estate is 5.2 km from the property. The nearest airport is Cape Town International, 70 km from the accommodation. We stayed in a renovated historic farmhouse. All modern convienceces were available. Very cozy & comfortable!

I don’t believe there is a thing the owners haven’t thought of to make the stay more comfortable. The cottages are beautifully decorated and faultlessly clean …. Fresh eggs, branded products, wine in the fridge …. This is our second stay and I am planning the return.
