Stayed here on first night in Costa Rica after picking up hire car in nearby Belen depot. Comfy room, lovely gardens and setting. Safe neighbourhood (went for a run locally). Nice pool area too. We had drinks, dinner and breakfast (huge buffet spread) - really well set up, and great for the first night in a new country after a long day of flights to get there.

On the outskirts of San José, just a 10 minutes' drive from Juan Santamaria International Airport, Wyndham San Jose Herradura offers 3 outdoor pools and a casino.

Large hotel area, close to the Airport. Nice facilities and large rooms. I would recommend this hotel before or after the flight, as it is cheaper than the Jones directly by the airport. The hotel provides a FREE shuttle to the airport.
