The wildlife at your balcony is truly amazing. Staying in the main lodge the first night we saw hummingbirds, squirrels, agouti and coati along with many other stunning bird life. The staff in the restaurant/bar are friendly and welcoming and the food and drinks are good standard. We stayed the second night in a seperate lodge as a forrest room and this had the most amazing glass shower overlooking the forest as did the balcony. Both rooms were very spacious, very comfortable beds and luscious amenities. The brewery on-site was a big bonus to unwind after a days activities and has great views of the garden and lake with loads of bird and animal life.

Very clean, friendly staff, close to Monte Verde cloud forest, good food, ATM nearby, hotel staff helped with travel arrangement to zip line, cloud forest and onward journey to Manuel Antonio. The hotel has good restaurant where they made custom menu items for us since we are vegetarians. There is super market right next door where you can buy most daily use items. Since we traveled in La Fortuna before coming here they also helped with quick laundry, dried and folded for a very reasonable price. The people at this hotel embody the “Pura Vida” culture of Costa Rica! Thanks again for the warmth and hospitality. My first instinct when booking hotels in Costa Rica was to go with large name brand hotels but the small mom and pop operators really made it a memorable stay.

The staff were very professional and accomodating. When you first arrive, they sit you down with a glass of juice and explain all the services the hotel provides. We also booked two tours with the front desk and it was added to our final bill. Very convenient. The restaurant was excellent and the grounds and gardens were beautiful and extensive. They even have a couple of trails to walk on the property.
