EVERYTHING! This hotel was amazing , from Al aspects. Prasad and all the team, Hassan, Amila, Deshan and everyone else, were incredible! You never asked for anything to much and they made you feel so welcome and come for table always. They went over and above at every point! The rooms were stunning , location beautiful and the food was gorgeous! Leaving here was very difficult - whole stay was perfect , and this was mostly due to the staff and there unbeatable service

We’ve been visiting Sri Lanka with our family for many years, but very few places have impressed us as much as Splendour Residence. Sure, there might be some minor imperfections here and there – but they’re completely outweighed by how smoothly everything runs and how exceptional the guest care is. The staff is absolutely fantastic – from the owner to every single member of the team. Everyone is kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Our little daughter received such lovely attention and care, and it made the whole stay even more special for us. The food was excellent, and the surroundings – both indoor and outdoor – were beautiful. There is a clear emphasis on space and comfort throughout the property, which we truly appreciated. The entire hotel feels well-thought-out, peaceful, and harmonious. I sometimes give a 10/10 rating on Booking, even when a place has a few flaws that are balanced by other strengths. But Splendour Residence deserves more than just a perfect score. If I could rate it higher, I absolutely would. We even changed our travel plans just to stay a little longer – that’s how much we loved it here. And if we ever return to Sri Lanka, there’s no doubt – we’ll be coming back here.

We have not stayed before but We found out that this hotel changed ownership in December 2024. So ignore any previous reviews. It is clearly run by professionals now and they have done extensive refurbishment. It is truly beautiful and spotlessly clean. It had a Superb beach location, lovely swimming pool. Double aspect infinity pool. Attentive staff. Hotel located on a little peninsula with lots of pretty areas to sit. Sunsets superb. Can walk along beaches to other hotels in Ahungalle otherwise you really need a tuk tuk which the staff will always get for you. ( and are cheap) we visited a huge reclining Buddha Temple whilst staying here. A must do ! Internet OK. Fridge in room. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Good supply tea and coffee and 2 waters daily. It was a lovely stay.

Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our stay at the Dormero Hotel in Sri Lanka was nothing short of amazing! The staff here is truly the best we have ever encountered – attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with a fantastic ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Without even asking, they graciously upgraded our room because there was availability – such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more special. Breakfast was an absolute highlight – delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. The top manager deserves special recognition for being incredibly kind, approachable, and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you, Dormero Hotel, for creating such unforgettable memories for us.
