This hotel is one of the best I have stayed in recently. We were warmly welcomed with a traditional drum & song routine performed by the wonderful staff. The room was so comfortable, had everything we needed and a full mini bar included in the rate. The hotel facilities were great and absolutely spotless. The food was exceptional and the service outstanding. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends & family.

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The setting in Sri Lanka’s lush “foliage” is breathtaking, and the way the architecture blends into the landscape is not only beautiful but simply genius. We felt an overwhelming sense of peace from the moment we arrived. The Ayurvedic treatments and wellness programs were life-changing, and the team are so positive and treated us with so much kindness and thoughtfulness. The food was beyond amazing—every meal was filled with such flavour. Santani gave us everything we needed to truly sought to reconnect and release going into the new year. My stay at Ferndale Retreat Luxury Eco Resort in Kandy was phenomenal. Having traveled to more than 10 countries, I have never experienced such exceptional hospitality. From the moment we checked in, the service was outstanding. The owner, Chaminda, personally welcomed my boyfriend and me, offering us a complimentary trekking excursion to a nearby waterfall where we enjoyed a refreshing dip in the natural pool. This unexpected adventure was truly amazing. We had the pleasure of enjoying home-grown, garden-fresh vegetables from Ferndale's own organic farm. We even picked them ourselves! The in-house chef prepared a wonderful Sri Lankan meal inspired by the farm-to-table concept, and all the food was organic. The meals were delicious and showcased the fresh ingredients beautifully. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, with super cozy beds and a balcony view that transported us to another world. The bathrooms were spotless and the water was incredibly refreshing. If I could, I’d rate my experience 100/10. The resort employs local staff from the nearby village and is committed to 100% sustainable practices. They use eco-friendly materials, conserve water, and support the local community in every possible way. Staying at Ferndale Retreat, you can really feel their dedication to preserving the environment and promoting sustainability. Anyone visiting Kandy should stay at this remarkable place for at least one day—though I highly recommend staying for at least two days to fully experience the beauty and tranquility of this amazing property

The location is simply amazing with a stunning view on a lake and mountains. Small team extremely dedicated to make your stay a pleasant one. Kudos to Thiloka for her patience and always smiling. Great breakfast and food, the best we had in Sri Lanka. Definitely a place we will remember.
