We loved our stay! This is a perfect place to relax. The hotel is built on a hill and can only be reached by a funicular railway or a long staircase. Due to its elevated location, you truly feel part of the jungle, with a stunning view to match. The highlight of our visit was definitely the monkeys – but a word of caution: if you're not a fan of monkeys, this might not be the place for you, as they can be quite intrusive. They even stole my sunscreen and almost broke into our room, as they are able to open the door (always lock the door!). The bar and staff were outstanding – very dedicated and friendly. We loved relaxing at the pool on top of the hotel.

Good location 10 mins walk from the beach and a tuk tuk is always available at 500 rupees for short trips Out of town enough to be quite We were a party of 6 and it felt like we had the hotel to ourselves. The staff were all wonderful, very helpful and smiley. Breakfast and food in general was great. Definitely recommend 😊

The place is really beatiful, clean and peaceful. It is outside of very busy Mirissa, but still very close - 7min by scooter / tuk tuk. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff is sweet, kind and will help you to organise anything you need. The place is right by the lake, you can take a boat and enjoy beautiful sunset there. For the breakfast you get fresh fruits, smoothie, eggs on your preffered way, tea, coffee. We prolonged the stay and would come back in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ubuntu Beach villas! 💜 Lakmal and the staff looked after us so well and we felt very spoiled. The villas are absolutely stunning and very special, completely beach front! We very much enjoyed that we could use the facilities and amazing restaurant at the Latern villa also. The food is absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend staying at Ubuntu Beach Villas and will definitely be back!!! Thanks so much Lakmal and team for making this such a special and memorable last few days of our Sri Lanken holiday 😀🙏

Everything was perfect: Amazing view, delicious breakfast, all the other food was great as well. They did everything to accommodate us. Even a late breakfast after whale watching. The accommodation is very clean en very stylish/chique. The sunbeds are the best we had in Sri Lanka. Great shoutout to all the staff. They were the best. Thank you all for making our stay memorable!

Lovely clean guest house with well equipped kitchen and really nice tranquil outdoor seating / dining area. The owners are very friendly and can help arrange tours. Also have surf boards (short boards) which they offered for use, no charge!

The accommodation itself is rather average. But what makes the stay special is the family you stay with. Hospitality is very important here and you can have great conversations about Sri Lanka or the world. Rarely could I build a direct connection so quickly and enjoyed it. So if you are not into those anonymous hotels, but want to have direct contact with the locals, then I can only recommend a stay here. The location of the accommodation is a bit outside pretty much between Mirissa and Weligama. The way to the beach to Weligama is not far away and you can walk here for miles. This was really nice. The way to Mirissa is not so nice, but a ride with the tuktuk is recommended. I enjoyed my stay here a lot and would return anytime.

The photos don't do this place justice, I fell completely in love. The second I walked in and saw the views I was awestruck by the magnificent views, we stayed in Sri Lanka for a month and we spent most of our trip at Villa Vista.
