The stay was planned very last minute but still managed to be absolutely perfect! The team was very helpful, friendly and kind. We were greeted with cold lime soda on arrival. Our room was a dream! Spacious, clean, bed was very comfortable. There is a also kitchen equipped with the basic facilities. The view is beautiful, looking over the pool and so many palm trees. It’s not on the beach, so either you walk to Unawatuna Beach (around 30 min) or you can make arrangements with the tuktuk driver that works for the hotel. The location itself is very peaceful and quiet so if you are looking to relax fully, this is the place to be. The pool area was also lovely and clean. Also, three rabbits hopping around was a pleasant surprise :) A short 4-5 min walk leads to the main street where there is a market, bakery, a bit further down a bank. All in all, it was absolutely wonderful and would have loved to stay longer!

Everything was great. The owners are really good people,they tried to do the best. The Villa is amazing and near to main places. Breakfast so delicious and full of local and international food. I highly recommend this play for your stay.

The Merchant is perfectly located - basically a five minute walk from any point in Galle Fort. The rooms are lovely, big and modern. The restaurant downstairs is one of the best in Galle, and one of the few places that is still lively past 9 pm. The breakfast was great too.

Uyana Hotel in Ahangama was a peaceful escape from the Ahangama city. The peaceful setting, surrounded by nature, made for a truly relaxing stay. A huge thank you to Janaka, the manager, whose exceptional hospitality and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. Fantastic resort in the middle of the lush jungle but also close to some of the beautiful beaches of Galle. The resort and room were impeccably presented and complimented by a lovely team who were always happy to help. Special mention to Upeka for her great advice and assistance as well as Tarindu for the excellent tuktuk service. Highly recommended this place for a super relaxed getaway

Incredible hotel. Architecture is great. Room was huge with spectacular sea view. Staff was super attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the food as well. The staff arranged in room massage that was excellent, and we also enjoyed a Sri Lankan cooking class on the pool deck that was a real treat. This hotel is splurge but very much worth it.

Kumudu, his team and his family are wonderful hosts and people. Always available to help, professional and discreet, yet personal, open-minded and open-hearted. Communication was easy at all times. The premises are well kept, exude a feeling of tranquility and make you forget you’re still in a city. The lush garden around the pool not only provides shade, but also privacy to the two double rooms and hosts an abundance of birds, squirrels and sometimes monkeys. The two beautiful double rooms with high ceiling are spacious, well-equipped, super clean, well-lit and feature a big bathroom with an open air (hot) shower in complete privacy. The beds are comfortable and have an airy and effective mosquito net. There’s a ceiling fan both in the room and on the terrace which was much appreciated as it keeps the mozzies at bay. One of the highlights was the delicious, fresh and plentiful breakfast on the room terrace, prepared by Janidu’s mother. I’m very happy to have found this place and can’t wait to return :)
