Staff was wonderful! Five stars and more! Took extra time to give us an historical tour, showing us Oliver Cromwell's alleged musket holes on the ancient front door and other oddities and delights. Drove our rental car to our room so we wouldn't have to search for it. Made us feel relaxed, welcome, and comfortable. Enjoyed the meals, the pool, and the lovely common areas. My 8 year old daughter and I loved playing chess and drinking tea and hot chocolate while eating dessert in the beautiful lounge, with Katherine Parr's portrait peering down at us. We traveled for a month in the UK and France, and this was our favorite hotel. So much to see and do: swimming, hiking, lounging. My daughter was obsessed with the full-size chess board outside, although we didn't have time to play that set. Compared to where we live in N CA, this place was also a remarkable value! We paid $350 which included the breakfast (there's a wonderful buffet in addition to the hot breakfast), and a 110 pound dinner allowance. You couldn't stay in a Courtyard for that where we live.

Super location, right in the middle of Cheltenham. I wasn't feeling well, and asked if I could do a late check out, and Tabi was 5 stars. Managed to sleep another hour or so and recover before the drive I had ahead. Will return.
Perfect location and exceptional clean. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The food was really good, would absolutely recommend staying here and will definitely be back. 5 stars 🌟
We had a lovely stay at Coombe House, it was just like being in the comfortable home of a friend, relaxed ambiance, set in a spacious garden. David hosted us beautifully, 5 stars all the way. Everything was uncomplicated with plenty of parking. Bourton on the Water is the nicest village in the Cotswolds, flowers and little bridges everywhere and very quiet at night. Highly recommended as the best base for visiting the area.
We were on our way to a wedding - tried to get a cab - not possible so the chef offered to drive us - that is the best blooming service- it wasn't far but too far to walk - beats 5 stars hands down - rooms were lovely - bed was comfortable - Staff went over and above - plus leant me a charger to charge my phone- its the little things which make great service.
