Small luxury hotel for decent price (if making booking far in advance). Our stay was very comfortable, we found almost the best amenities (out of all hotels we stayed in Japan). Breakfast (by selection Japanese or International bento box) is delivered to the room. Very good location - quiet place in older Kyoto side, lots of activities and restaurants are on walking distance. We liked hotel very much and would come.

Truly beautiful and such exceptional service! The amenities are wonderful and the location couldn’t be more perfect. The breakfast was great and fulfilling with a collection of Japanese and western food. The hotel does a free walking tour around the neighborhood with a local guide every Wednesday and Friday I believe which is such a lovely way to start your visit in Kyoto! Theres also a free shuttle to and from Kyoto station with multiple times every day. The public bath is so great and serene with all the amenities you need in it (towels, hair brushes, face wash/makeup remover, cotton ear buds, lockers to keep your things, a water dispenser, hairdryers, plastic hair covers… etc). Such a wonderful and unforgettable stay truly worth the price!
