The welcome you get in City Hotel Ochsen is what would make you come back ! The little things they do great - requesting a little jug of milk when you arrive late is no problem will deliver to your room , to showing you the map of Zug. Both the man and lady on reception are brilliant and should be commended , same with the owner whom I met one of the nights . Better than any of the more expensive hotels in Zug which I’ve stayed at ! I will be back ! Rooms are well laid out , clean and cosy with beautiful modern bathroom - a pleasure .

The staff was very nice and helpful. Even arriving late in the day they managed to keep the restaurant open. All was very good! We loved the hotel.

The City Garden Hotel is situated next to a green park, within walking distance from the commercial districts and only 3 minutes from the city centre of Zug.

The room is very, very big and beautiful we put an extra bed in the room but it is so big it was not noticeable at all. The bed is very big and comfortable and the shower is luxurious. The highlight of the room is the huge balcony with a view of the mountains to the golf course and Lake Lucerne, you can leave the car in the parking and go to Lucerne by public transport very convenient

very beautiful location, the windows offer a crazy view of the lake, the interior of the hotel consists of expensive materials, very pleasant smells of soap, shampoo, shower gel, lotion, rubber slippers are issued that will not turn into garbage after one use. very kind staff. The drain in the bathroom is not clogged as is often the case in hotels. good prices for parking and bar. Thank you for this level of service

What a stay. We caught the train up. Very frequent trains up and down. We had large backpacks on as well as front packs. The walk from the train station to the hotel really wasn't that bad, but first impressions, made the walk feel bad. Stick to the road and not the path. Path was slippery with the snow/ice. It was overcast at first, but when it settled, it really was a hotel above the clouds. Beautiful with the sun out, clouds below and a sunset behind the Alps. We were there to celebrate our son's 18th and for him, this was his highlight of our 6 week European journey. Staff gave us all drink vouchers to help celebrate his 18th. We had dinner at the restaurant. Superb dinner. They had an awesome food van outside that catered for coffee, meals and desserts. We had 2 rooms for a family of 4. Very clean and spacious rooms. Great views. Very popular spot for visitors to the mountain. The lookout was closed due to ice and safety reasons, which is fair enough. It was slippery enough on the flat at times. Some easy walks nearby. One idea was to return to Zurich town to celebrate our son's 18th, but once we were up there, it was a simple choice just to stay up there. Very happy with this stay.
